  • 1 1/2 lbs. top round steak (or leftover chicken fried steak)
  • 1 15 oz. & 1 28 oz. can Red Chile sauce (ie: Las Palmas)
  • flour to coat round steak
  • garlic powder, seasoned salt & pepper to taste
  • 28 oz. water
  • 1 dozen large flour tortillas
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening or salad oil

1) Cut round steak into bite sized cubes.
2) Season to taste, roll in flour until thoroughly coated.
3) Sear in hot oil until brown on all sides
4) Drain excess grease, add red chili sauce & water.
5) Bring to boil, reduce heat & simmer about two hours.
6) Can be served as burritos, or bean & chili burritos, or dip the tortillas in a bowl of the stuff.
7) The heat (spiciness) of this will vary from time to time, depending on the fire of the chili sauce !!
